A4k.de speaks now your mother tongue!

Active for Children: Giving Parents a Voice is a new portal for parents presented in many languages. It offers opportunities to:

• voting on the upbringing question of the month;

• discussing typical everyday topics with children;

• getting information related with the state of being parents;

• learning about parents' initiatives and being up-to-date informed about upbringing and educating the children.

In the light of the slogan „Active for Children: Giving Parents a Voice!“ Heidemarie Arnhold and Izabela Ebertowska of the Association for a New Education (registered association) present the new structure of the a4k.de site. "Many parents already know us, " says Heidemarie Arnhold, chairwoman of ANE, "because for many years we have been distributing the well-known”Letters for Parents” in Germany. But now we present something completely new. Whoever is looking for answers to his/her questions, or who wants to exchange views with others, just goes to a4k.de and discusses his/her questions or views regarding raising and educating the children with other users."

This internet platform is unique in Europe because parents of different native languages can discuss with each other in their own language and get expert advice.
"This offer has long been overdue!" Izabela Ebertowska, ANE vice-chairwoman, knows what she is talking about. "I am of Polish origin and have a two-year old son. our family life is very Polish. That`s why I am glad to have an opportunity now to communicate with both German and Polish parents."

Therefore, Izabela Ebertowska will be the a host of the Polish forum. "Parents may send their questions in Polish and can discuss them with others. I am going to add questions related to the monthly topic which are still unanswered. We intend to fetch expert opinions wherever possible."

The new a4k.de site offers parents' forums in 7 languages: German, English, French, Arabic, Turkish, Polish and Russian. Each month, a new parents' opinion poll and a monthly topic is presented.
