The intercultural association "Rasselbande" e. V. was founded in 2005 by a parents' initiative group. With the purpose to offer an improved care for children in the pre-school age, above all concerning the linguistic care the kindergarten "Kalinka" was opened in November, 2006.

By the highly qualified staff (partly educators with Master’s certificate) the children are prepared optimally for the school. This is the area of logical thinking, general knowledge and social knowledge, linguistic habits, fine motor activity and coarse motor activity. It is based mainly on activities, carefully matched to the interests of children. The mediation of the German and the support of the mother tongue Russian show the main focus of our care by vocabulary extension and pronunciation, concentrated listening and reproduction in full sentences. 

Our purpose group is all children, but mainly the children, from the families not of German origin to make easier the start at school. It should be guaranteed that the children can follow from the outset, to the lessons at least into two languages.  We support the thirst for knowledge and unbelievable receptiveness of   children within the scope of the support also of more languages.  We teach English daily by communication, in a playful way using songs, chants, games.

Our approach is suitable either as the children’s first contact with English or after aural -aural Introduction.  This specific linguistic approach supports the development of the personality of every child. The consciousness about own abilities  strengthens the self-confidence, allows to master the later school  everyday life better, also because the child is already in the pre- school age them, for the school compelling necessary abilities and  skills.  In the kindergarten at linguistic level to acquired abilities and skills should be promoted in the elementary school supported further.  The requirements for elementary school taking into account the above representation are defined clearly. The elementary school as another educational station should take into consideration the already available abilities and skills of every child and promote them. The primary purpose - the mediation of the knowledge, according to the age - should be complemented with the specific support of certain abilities namely from the first class.  With the foundation and opening in 2009 of own elementary school our  association aims, the children from our kindergarten, but also all  other interested children to learn the English language from the  first class in and to develop their mother tongue. This offer is also directed to the children from exclusively German speaking families which who an intensive linguistic support of the English language.  We offer a special support individually for those children who need it.
