… is mine because it looks like me!
The cup and pottery shop of Pucca's father isn't running well because everybody in town has bought a cup there already. So, the father has to try to sell his cups in the neighbouring town.
Alone at home, his son Pucca has the stirring business idea: the cups ought to look like his friends: the parrot cup looks like a colourful parrot, the elephant cup has a trunk, a snake is winding up to form a cup shape, etc. The business starts booming, and soon buyers and orders from all over the world are coming in because everybody can have his individual and unique cup.
This enchanting picture book story of an intimate father-son relationship is not too far away from the life story of the author, Japanese illustrator Yusuke Yonezu, who studied design to provide his father with good ideas for having his shoemaker's workshop run better.
