"Hallescher Komet" children and youth library recommends
The team of the "Hallescher Komet" children and youth library as a part of the Central and Land Library of Berlin issues recommendations about current children and youth media on a monthly basis. Apart from new picture books, novels, non-fiction books, PC games, CDs and DVDs, some classics are presented as well. These recommendations are meant to provide orientation in the "media ocean" and to motivate all parents to read a thrilling story or to look at a picture book together with their children or to test their skills in a PC game.
Our current recommendation:
Yusuke Yonezu: The Prettiest Cup Of The World
This enchanting picture book story of an intimate father-son relationship is not too far away from the life story of the author, Japanese illustrator Yusuke Yonezu, who studied design to provide his father with good ideas for having his shoemaker's workshop run better.
By the way: In order to loan media and to use the offers of the "Hallescher Komet" children and youth library , children and young people only need a valid Berlin library identification card which is also issued by the district libraries. For children and young people, this card is issued free of charge.
